Every Diwali, our family makes an elaborate spread of savouries and sweets โ€” anywhere from 8 to 12 dishes, depending on the year. The menu is set by grandma Lakshmi, and the dishes alternate based on what's in season. Some are mandatory (murukku, mysore pak). Some rotate (this year we're adding a special mango barfi).

The family tradition

When we opened the restaurant, we knew we'd do a Diwali menu every year. The first year, we sold 14 pre-orders. Last year, we sold 380. This year, we're capping it at 500 so we can still make everything by hand.

The 2026 menu

Sweets: Mysore Pak, Kesari Bath, Mango Barfi, Gulab Jamun.

Savouries: Murukku, Ribbon Pakoda, Kara Boondi, Masala Cashew.

All halal. All vegetarian options available. Pre-orders open through Diwali week.
